Something this close to your family has to earn your trust. So here's exactly how Kinnie handles what you share. We'll start with the things Kinnie will never do.
Every source Kinnie reads is a separate switch. Connect your calendar and never use the email address, or the other way round. And some things are never on the menu at all.
The things people want to know before they hand over their family's week.
Kinnie runs on AI built by other companies: Anthropic, OpenAI and TypeSafe. When Kinnie needs one of them, it sends the piece needed for that one task, never your whole household. None of them train on it.
It only happens if you say yes. Kinnie asks the first time you sign in, and it names who they are before you decide. You can change your mind whenever you like, in Settings, under Privacy and data. Turn it off and chat, reading your email and photos, the weekly look-ahead and anything Kinnie suggests all go quiet. Your shared calendar and your to-do lists keep working.
Every company that touches your data is named in the privacy policy.
Ask for your data any time and we email you a link to a readable copy. The link works for 24 hours.
Delete your account in the app and everything goes with it. Memories, messages, preferences.
Access is restricted by default, and nobody here looks at your household without a reason. But we're a small team building something that has to be accurate, and that means we do look at real data. We do it to fix a problem you've reported, and to understand where Kinnie is getting things wrong so we can improve it.
Information from a connected Google calendar is handled more strictly, because Google requires it. The full detail, including what we do and don't do with it, is in the privacy policy.
Kinnie has your context from day one. What it doesn't have yet is your preferences. How much warning you like, who to ask first, when to stay quiet.
That part is a training period. Correct Kinnie once and the correction sticks.
Kinnie is built for parents, not for children. You set up the household, you choose what's shared, and everything on this page applies to your kids' information exactly as it applies to yours.
Children don't have accounts and don't use the app. What Kinnie knows about your kids is what you put there, and you can correct it or delete it whenever you want.
